EVH Replica Guitar Specs
In the mid-1970s, before he became a rock ‘n’ roll legend, Eddie Van Halen didn’t have the money to buy the kind of guitar he wanted. And the guitar he wanted didn’t exist anyway—so he made it himself. Attempting to combine the look and features of a Fender Stratocaster with the sound of classic Gibson guitars like the Les Paul and the SG, he put a humbucking pickup in a Charvel Strat-shaped body and the Frankenstein guitar was born. In 2007, Eddie Van Halen, in conjunction with the Fender Custom Shop, released the Frankenstein replica in a limited edition of 300 guitars, all of them with specs exactly like the original.
